Ruckus over Rahul’s ‘London comments’ in Parliament; Rajya Sabha congratulates the Oscar award winning film ‘RRR’
The Parliament budget session has once again witnessed pandemonium on Adani related issues and the same scenario continued even on the second day also in both houses of the Parliament. The opposition has vehemently demanded for the discussion on Adani issues leading to utter chaos. Meanwhile, the NDA MPs have demanded for apology from Rahul Gandhi for his purported comments in London. In the ensuing protests by both the ruling and opposition members the smooth functioning of the house got affected. The Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has sought the co-operation of both the ruling and opposition members to proceed with the ongoing question answer session.
However members from both the sides have not heeded to his request. The speaker suggested to the Congress party members not to display placards while asking them to retain their seats. As his request was not accepted by the Congress members, the Speaker has adjourned the House.
In the Rajya Sabha the proceedings were held for some time. The Rajya Sabha members congratulated both the film units of ‘RRR’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ for bringing in the prestigious Oscar awards to India. The Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has profusely lauded the inherent talent of Indians and expressed his happiness on India getting the Oscars and termed it as an excellent appreciation at the international level. He has also expressed his happiness by attributing this stupendous success to the abundant talent of Indians. Later on the opposition members have demanded for discussion on Adani issue and soon the situation turns chaotic and the Speaker adjourned the House.
