According to the Ceiling and Tenancy Act, the lands should be allotted to the farmers. However, the leaders of TRS and MIM are claiming that they have hundreds of acres in their name. They are taking a position with the power of court orders against the families who have been farming for 50 years. After that, they are going to bargain saying that they will give you ten lakhs of crores of land and go away. This mafia is now roaming in Maheswaram, Chevella, and Vikarabad constituencies.
Mayor Vijayalakshmi’s encroachment story!
Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalakshmi has raised the curtain on the acquisition of 10 acres of land in Mirzapur village of Puduru mandal. Survey No. 20 contained the lands of a landlord named Ramulamma. 32 acres were given to farmers under Tenancy Act. When the government collected some more land, it paid money to their heirs and sold it to poor people. The lands were distributed to avoid the effect of the Ceiling Act. But, in 2007, the MRO Mahalakshmi gave the document to Ramulamma’s son as an inheritance without checking the records. KK’s son Venkateswara Rao transferred the same land. Prashanth Reddy, a farmer of Sultanpur, was murdered while this land was in dispute. Now the mafia has entered again with the rise in land rates. The villagers are complaining that they are making threats with guns and planning to take the position again with the power of the authorities. They are begging KCR and KTR to show initiative and protect their land.
600 acres in Kongar Khurd
Political leaders of both BRS and MIM are now eyeing the 600 acres adjacent to the Outer Ring Road. All the revenue of that town is from Waqf lands. Farmers have been plowing for 60 years. However, they are claiming that they are their grandfathers as they have taken decisions that waqf lands can be given to heirs contrary to the ceiling act. Farmers are being blackmailed. The farmers are complaining that the same CI has been going to Adibhatla police station for 5 years to transfer these lands to the descendants of Nizam. It is said that they have lost faith that they will get their land even if they make movements. Farmers are worried because the leaders who are supposed to protect the people are on the side of the land mafia. The government is acting as if land prices are skyrocketing. Even the Rangareddy Collector has been accused of taking bribes by claiming that these lands are theirs. It is said that this land mafia has already cleared a Waqf Board land in Balapur mandal and now it has fallen on Kongar Khurd. At present, 600 acres of 8 survey numbers are being encroached on the basis of court orders.
