TRS took the public meeting in Khammam district very prestigiously as it is the first event held after becoming BRS. Party sources say that CM KCR’s speech in this assembly, which is being held on the 18th of this month, will give a strong message to the states of Telangana and AP. That is why KCR chose Khammam district which is the border of the two states as the venue.
But the big task ahead of the party is to mobilize a large number of people from the two Telugu states for this meeting. With this, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav was entrusted with the responsibility of transporting people from AP to the assembly. Apart from this, AP BRS leaders such as Thota Chandrasekhar, Ravela Kishore, Partha Sarathi, etc. are taking care, but ministers Thalasani and Srinivas Goud are also making efforts at their level. And the relations with Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav are working as a key in mobilizing people. But BRS aims to move around five lakh people to the assembly.
With this, the exercise has started to evacuate a large number of people from the respective districts of Telangana as well as AP. The affairs of AP are being looked after by two ministers along with BRS leaders and heads of caste communities. In Telangana, apart from Khammam district, arrangements have been made to move people and party workers from the neighboring districts of Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Janagam, and other districts. The party aims to convey the strength of BRS through this assembly.
The state president Thota Chandrasekhar Ravela Kishore Babu, Partha Sarathi, and others have already discussed with KCR about the support of the party there along with the movement of people from AP to the assembly. In Khammam district, former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy discussed the impact of the recent internal differences with the district leaders in the open meeting. KCR is making other ministers participate instead of leaving the responsibilities only to the district leaders as this assembly has been taken seriously. Minister Harish Rao was entrusted with the responsibility of making it a success and he stayed there for two days.
Minister Puvwada Ajay Kumar is coordinating the party leaders and ranks across the district. Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy has also been entrusted with the responsibility. MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy and TSIIC Chairman Gyadari Balamallu are taking care of the arrangements for the venue. Along with the CMs of Kerala, Punjab, and Delhi, national-level leaders of CPI and CPM will also attend the meeting. But as people gathering is the key, the work has been divided very strictly and a sketch has been drawn in such a way that a certain number of people from each constituency can be moved to the assembly.
BRS also hopes to make Ponguleti feel included through this assembly. Speculation has it that the former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is ready to join BJP soon, and key leaders of the district are also ready to switch parties along with him. However, Pragati Bhavan groups are working hard to withhold them. They are hoping that BRS will have a future and will be given MLA or MLC positions in the future.
