Amidst the rumors and various reports over the Cold War between BCCI and Virat Kohli, the latter has finally broken the silence on Wednesday. Scotching the rumors that he will not be available for the South Africa ODI, the India Test captain today stated that his communication with BCCI on the ‘rest’ issue has not happened(which is contrary with Saurav Ganguly’s statement.
Notably, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had recently claimed that the board asked Virat Kohli to not give up the T20I captaincy as there was no such plan. However, Kohli said this wasn’t the case. “I was contacted one-and-a-half hours before the selection meeting on December 8 for the Test series,” Kohli added of the communication (or lack of it) with the BCCI on the ODI captaincy.
