Rejecting the plea petition filed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan regarding the 11 CBI cases and 5 ED cases in connection with Jagan and his family, the CBI court on Saturday has ordered for daily hearings to begin on October 12th.
While Jagan’s lawyers urged for postponing the hearings in CBI illegal assets cases until after Dasara festival holidays, the CBI court snubbed the statements made by Supreme Court has not issued any orders for speedy trials. The court, however, stated that it would consider Jagan lawyers’ plea for conducting online hearings.
The trial, which began on October 12, would hear the arguments in cases involving companies like Jagathi Publications, Bharti Cements, Penna Cements, Vanpic and Ranky Pharma. It can be noted that the High Court has already issued interim orders adjourning six cases related to Lepakshi Knowledge Hub, India Cements, Hetero, Aurobindo, Indo Housing Board, Dalmia Cements and Indo Tech Zone till November 6.
