CBI cracked down on cyber criminals. CBI has started taking some serious steps to bring into custody some of the serious cybercriminals. The Central Investigation Agency has launched raids across the country. These attacks are related to cybercrime, and the CBI is conducting these raids in collaboration with the state police. Raids were conducted in 105 places across the country. Rs 1.5 crore cash and 1.5 kg of gold were seized in these raids.
He said that these raids were carried out with the information given by Interpol, FBI, Royal Canadian Mountain Police, and Australian Federal Police. The CBI carried out these raids under the name of ‘Operation Chakra’. According to the information shared by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and Interpol, CBII raided these places. While the CBI team conducted raids at 87 places across the country, the state police are conducting searches at 18 places. It seems that more than 300 suspects have been identified in these attacks. The group also carried out attacks in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Assam, and Karnataka. In this attack, a fake call center was busted in Rajsamand, Rajasthan. It has been revealed that searches were conducted in two call centers in Pune and Ahmedabad targeting American citizens. It has been stated that this matter has been informed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The FBI has received a complaint through Interpol that all of them are conducting cyber crimes in the US. Therefore, the CBI also shared information about these attacks with the FBI under Operation Chakra. CBI has recently created an account on social media to arrest cybercriminals. The Central Bureau of Investigation revealed its presence on Twitter and Instagram for the first time.
