Hyderabad: Stating that there was no public interest involved, the Telangana high court on Tuesday declined to a hear a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) plea that sought a court-monitored CBI probe into the suicide of Andhra Pradesh ex-speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao. On hearing the plea filed by B Anil Kumar of Guntur who raised doubts upon the death of Kodela, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan has questioned his concern with the senior politician’s death. The HC reminded that it was the up to his family to file a plea if there were suspicions over the death. “If the probe is not progressing well, the people that should be aggrieved are his family members. They did not raise any such objection. You are a stranger to the family. How can you raise this plea?” the Chief Justice questioned the locus of the petitioner. The Court also stated that it has full faith in Hyderabad police and has ordered not to intervene in a police investigation.
