CBI summons Botsa over Volkswagen case..

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Nampalle CBI court has issued notices to YSRCP leader and Minister Botsa Satyanarayana today. In accordance with the issued notices, Botsa has to appear before the court on 12th of next month. Botsa Satyanarayana, who was the Minister for Industries in Rajasekhar Reddy’s government is summoned as the prime witness in the Volkswagen case. This case was registered in 2005 before the state bifurcation. The erstwhile government has entrusted the case to CBI to solve the case which involves a few big shots who have been accused of moving the company from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam.

Vashisht Vahan’s former officers Helmand, Ashok Kumar Jain and Vashisht Vahan’s directors Jagadish Alagaraja, Gaitri Roy, VK Chaturvedi and Joseph V George are the main accused in this case. It was alleged that more than Rs. 12 crores of corruption took place, out of which Rs. 7 crore was said to be recovered. The case is being investigated based on the three thousand pages charge sheet filed at the Nampalle CBI court in 2010. As part of which, Minister Botsa Satyanarayana’s testimony was needed. Botsa is yet to react on the court orders, while he needs to appear before the CBI court on September 12 for his testimony.
