While a number of BJP ministers snubbing the lockdown extension rumours, health experts from various states were learnt to raise concerns over the spread of the infection. With April 14th, the last day of the complete lockdown approaching, authorities in some India states on Saturday hinted on lockdown extension as the number of domestic coronavirus cases rose above the 3,000-mark.
Adding to the critical situations, the world’s biggest shutdown has left millions without jobs and forced migrant workers to flee cities to their villages in search of food and shelter. With the country’s economy at doldrums, the Modi-led government seems to be very stringent over its decision to lift the lockdown after April 14th. However, Telugu state CM’s were learnt to have different plans.
Information from the trusted sources revealed that though the Telugu state governments decided to abide by the central government’s orders to lift the lockdown, there might be a possibility that extension will be strictly imposed in the districts that the centre has already notified as a red zone.
In Telangana, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal districts ie the Greater Hyderabad region is speculated to be under lockdown extension districts. While in Andhra Pradesh, the lockdown in Visakhapatnam, Chittoor, East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, Nellore and Kurnool districts is likely to be extended till April 30.
