In a crucial report submitted to the state government, Modi-led central government blew a bombshell on Friday. While the Telangana government has sought the center to set up six new airports across the state, the authority set a report stating that they have found that only three airports can be developed into full-fledged airports that can support large-scale air traffic.
The Airport Authority that visited the six proposed sites in Telangana has assessed the establishment of airports, the feasibility of air traffic, and the benefits before they submitted the report. The authority approved three of the proposed projects at Mamunur in Warangal, Adilabad, and Jakranpally in Nizamabad.
Proposal to set up airports at Palvancha, Devarakadra, Basanthnagar was rejected as they couldn’t support high-air traffic.
