In a move to foil the ‘Chalo Assembly’ call made by Telangana BJP Unit demanding that September 17 be declared as Telangana Liberation Day.
Hyderabad police on Friday placed all crucial BJP leader under house arrest. BJP’s State president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar and former State president K. Laxman as well are now under police watch at their respective residences.

While many leaders and BJP activists from across the state planned to reach assembly to hold protests, mild tensions ran high at the Ravindra Bharati premises with police taking them into custody by force. all the roads leading to the assembly complex were blocked by the police.
MLC N Ramachandra Rao is among the leaders who were detained while the leader alleged that the police did not allow him to attend the Legislative Council session.
