TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu visited the ‘Rayalacheruvu’ during his tour to flood-hit areas in Tirupati Srikalahasti and Chandragiri assembly constituencies in Chittoor district. Chandrababu also inspected the bridges washed away recently in the Swarnamukhi river. Later the former chief minister inspected the 500-year-old Rayalacheruvu project.
The pictures and videos of the TDP chief walking through the damaged roads in the dark are going viral on social media. Speaking to the reporters during the visit, Chandrababu came down heavily on the YRSCP-led state government.
“CM is making ritualistic aerial surveys which are of no use. If the Chief Minister acts like this, the officials will also follow suit and may not be properly involved in relief activities,” he averred. He then visited a photo gallery on crop losses and damages to bridges and roads. The TDP chief assured the flood victims and farmers to stand in strong solidarity with them until the state government of Andhra Pradesh compensates them appropriately.
