It has been one of the prestigious mind child of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who promised to deliver a world-class city for the newly formed state. Upon pooling hundreds of acres of land from the local farmers, the then government has set new records for farmers voluntarily rendering their lands to clinch the dream of Amaravati. But none has seen the disaster coming with the name of government change. The recent developments in state politics have set ripples in the lives of Amaravati farmers. The termination of many projects, huge investors like Singapore backing off and government constituting a committee over capital change drew flak from the locals who gave their lands for development. Amidst this, Opposition TDP has announced that their chief Chandrababu Naidu would take a tour up a tour in the capital region on 28 November. Sources revealed that he along with a few senior party leaders will meet the farmers in support of their peaceful strike announced of late. The main agenda of the visit is said to rake up the Amaravati issue and to push the government to take a stand on the capital’s fortune.
