With the allegation of dumping a travel agent in Aurangabad to the tune of Rs 20.96 lakhs, a cheating case was filed against former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin in Aurangabad. Mohammed Shahab, a travel agent filed a case against Azharuddin and two others on Wednesday stating that he was cheated over various international flight tickets worth Rs 20.96 lakh booked for Azharuddin and a few others.
In his complaint, Shahab said when he asked for the payment, Khan’s associate Sudesh Awakkal sent an e-mail saying he has transferred Rs 10.6 lakh to him, but it was not received. Shahab is the owner of Danish Tours and Travels agency in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad city who has been associated with Azharuddin for years. Confirming the FIR filed against the president of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) officer PSI Amarnath D Nagre said that they are investigating the matter. “If the payment is made in court, they will get immediate relief or else the trio will be arrested,” said the officer.
I strongly rubbish the false FIR filed against me in Aurangabad. I’m consulting my legal team, and would be taking actions as necessary pic.twitter.com/6XrembCP7T

The yesteryear’s dashing cricketer snubbed the allegations on him. Taking to his official social media accounts, Azharuddin dismissed the allegations as baseless stating that he would take legal action against the complainant. “I will seek legal advice and file defamation case worth Rs 100 crore against the complainant,” Azharuddin said in a video posted on his Twitter account.
