Not yet done, if the information is to be believed, Hindupur MLA and senior actor Bala Krishna, Tarak, Mahesh Babu and young hero Nani will also grace the event.
Into details, Andhra Pradesh government is learnt to plan a grand event for Nandi Awards post the lockdown. It is to common knowledge that it was during the Kiran Kumar Reddy’s tenure that Andhra Pradesh lastly hosted the award function after which the state bifurcation took to the hotspot. However, after the bifurcation Chandrababu-led TDP came to power in a divided Andhra Pradesh in 2014, Nandi Awards were announced for two years 2012-13. Prabhas was nominated for the Best Actor Award for his performance in ‘Mirchi’.
A few days later, the jury announced Nandi Awards for the next three years 2014,2015,2016 while ‘Legend’ movie, starring Balakrishna, was nominated for a Nandi Award in various categories including Best Actor and Best Picture. On the same hand, Mahesh Babu received the award for ‘Srimanthudu’ for the year 2015 and Tarak was nominated for Best Actor in 2016 for ‘Janata Garage’ movie. With a section of cinephiles raising objections over announcing awards to the heroes of the same community, Andhra Pradesh government has postponed the main event of the Nandi Awards ever since.
