Neither did the government come down nor did the Amaravati farmers step back over the protesting against the three capital decision while the agitations touched the 70 days mark. Adding fuel to the flare, government statement that 5% of pooled land can be used for affordable housing worsened the situations in the capital region. Followed by which the Amaravati Parirakshana Samiti decided to intensify the protests across the state including Hyderabad.
Soon rumours sparked that the protestors would siege the houses of the renowned politicians and actors on Saturday. While actor Chiranjeevi’s name topped the list, Hyderabad police have strengthened the security line in the premises of Chiranjeevi’s residence. Tensions prevailed as the police didn’t let anyone into house premises. With the news making rounds on social media, fans from across the city reached the house raising slogans support of the Megastar. However, the ‘Save Amaravati’ JAC has made it clear that it has nothing to do with the siege and protests.
This incident came days after the protestors reached to actor Mahesh Babu’s house to make statements in favour of ‘Save Amaravati’ protests. While Mahesh was no way related to the issue, Chiranjeevi has openly praised the proposal of the three government capitals taken by the AP government. In no time, speculations went rife that Chiru would be sent to Lok Sabha. This left Chiranjeevi in an unexpected fix with the protestors reaching to his residence.
