No, theatres remaining shut didn’t stop the controversial director from releasing his most debated ‘Climax’. Teaming up with ShreyaET to produce movies for online, RGV released his movie starring adult star Mia Malkova on RGV World, a new digital streaming application named after the director himself.
While the steaming first look posters and trailers turned up the buzz on social media, as many as 1,68,596 cinephiles signed up for the movie paying Rs 100 leading to a website crash for a couple of hours. Touted as a romantic thriller set in the desert, RGV’s ‘Climax’ received mixed reviews, while a number of fizzled out fans took to social media to rant out. Did RGV disappoint his ardent fans..?
There is no doubt in stating that most of the audience signed up for the film for Mia being the sole reason. Despite the fact that there has been no clear idea of whether the film is an action film or a horror drama, the film tested the patience of many fans with basic twists and flat narration. While the movie on the major note has Mia running half-naked, DOP is the only factor that impressed the viewer who spent Rs 100 for the film.
Rounding it off, it is evident that RGV cleverly used an adult star to sell yet another horror movie which didn’t even reach previous RGV-mark thriller movies. Rather talking many of the fans opined that RGV’s live session with Mia is rather entertaining in which the star opened up about why she chose adult film industry. She also talked about her loving family and how they treat her like any other family members.
