Santoshi, wife of Colonel Santosh Babu who was among the 20 Indian soldiers killed in the Galwan Valley clash on Monday took charge as a trainee collector of Yadadri-Bhongir district. Keeping up the promise made, Telangana state government passed the orders with respect to her appointment signed by the State chief secretary Somesh Kumar.
Santoshi who recently completed her training for the post was appointed in Yadadri district while she reported to district collector Anitha Ramachandran on Monday. It can be noted that besides the job, Chief Minister KCR also announced Rs 5 crore and 711-yard plot in Jubilee Hills to Santosh Babu’s family.
Reportedly, Santoshi was inclined towards commercial tax officer post initially but has sought deputy collector job in Group-I cadre later which was accepted by the state government. Colonel Santosh Babu served as commanding officer of 16 Bihar unit along with 20 Indian soldiers killed on June 15 in Galwan Valley in Ladakh.
