Senior Congress leader Bakka Judson has complained to the Central Revenue about irregularities in the ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Badi’ scheme. He said in the complaint that the government has allocated Rs.7,289 crore in the 2022 budget for this scheme.
As part of the first phase, the government has decided to allocate Rs.3,497 crore for constructing 12 types of infrastructure in 9,123 schools. He alleged that MNRGA funds were also diverted for this.
He said that the process has stopped in the wake of the High Court’s attempt to award these tenders to the Megha company indirectly. He complained about it. Apart from this, he also asked for an investigation into the director of school education, Devasena, who is playing an extensive role in this program.
He alleged that MNRGA funds were diverted for this scheme in many places. He revealed that he had asked the Central Revenue Department to seek utilization certificates for the funds released from the Government of India.
