Ever since the press meet of CM KCR on the day of Union Budget, there is nothing else the whole state is talking about, other than his on the Indian Constitution, which caused a great deal of controversy. Leaders, intellectuals, and people across the country are bashing his comments left and right. As a part of expressing the angst, TPCC chief Rewanth Reddy protested in Delhi against KCR’s remarks to change the constitution. MP Komatireddy along with Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy held a dharna in front of the Ambedkar statue in front of the Parliament.
Talking about the motive behind the dharna, Revanth said that the Congress party organized the event to let Prime Minister and the President notice the remarks made by KCR on the constitution. He firmly stated that Modi should respond to the treasonous remarks made by KCR. He reminded that the rights of Dalits and tribals were guaranteed by the Constitution. He even suspects that there might be a conspiracy brewing to deprive the oppressed of those rights granted to them.
Further stating his opinions, Revanth alleged that the BJP could be behind the KCR comments to change the constitution. He said that the ideas of BJP were spoken through KCR, and demanded an unconditional apology from KCR at the Ambedkar statue.
Revanth mentioned that he will raise the issue in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Affirmed that all the MPs in the parliament will team up and discuss the action to be taken against KCR. He confirmed that he would not back down on this issue, and congress will continue to fight.
