In a shocking blunder which has now become a meme material on social media, Congress former MLA Surender Kumar during a public rally mistakenly hailed ‘Priyanka Chopra Zindabad’ instead of party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The video of Surender Kumar’s gaffe of swapping up the name of their General Secretary with the Bollywood actress is now on viral mode.
Addressing the rally, the Congress leader gave a speech and on the verge of giving a finishing touch, he started shouting slogans praising Congress leaders like Sonia, Rahul in his speech. The video shows the MLA shouting “Sonia Gandhi zindabad! Congress party zindabad! Rahul Gandhi zindabad! Priyanka Chopra zindabad,” which was chanted by the leaders on stage also. But soon after which Surender Kumar shouted “Priyanka Chopra Zindabad” it came as a shock to the leaders who were left in splits with puzzled faces. The video also showed Delhi Congress Chief Subhash Chopra standing right next to him startled after he took Bollywood actor’s name. Taking a cue from the event, a few of the BJP leaders started taking a dig at Congress for being such ardent fans of celebrities.
