Congress has decided to reveal the problems faced by the people of Telangana because of the Dharani scheme. As part of this, the Dharani Racchabanda program was organized in Indira Park Dharna Chowk. On this occasion, the leaders attacked the TRS government. Kodanda Reddy of the Kisaan Congress said that land problems are increasing in Telangana state. He also lashed out at CS Somesh for ignoring the issue even when it was brought up to him. They accused Somesh of not giving time to meet KCR.
Kodanda Reddy said that the scheme Dharani has brought poverty to the state. He alleged that the leaders of the ruling party are grabbing the assigned lands without limit and are earning crores by posing them as ventured plots. He demanded to amend the revenue records and demanded that the TRS government should take immediate steps to resolve the land issues.
V Hanumantha Rao alleged that the Dharani portal was brought to benefit the rich and influential people in the state. He said that the land rates around Hyderabad have increased tremendously only after the construction of ORR. Criticism was made that the lands of the poor around the ORR were written off to influential people. It has been revealed that the Congress ranks will be protesting in front of the HMDA office on Friday in order to fight against the growing land encroachment issues created by the influentials.
Seethakka said that the leaders have done something wrong and they are pushing it all on the VROs. She stated that the lands that were distributed to the poor by Congress were often grabbed by the KCR-led TRS government. She alleged that those lands are being handed over to corporate organizations and the commissions are being collected by the politicians.
She went on to raise a question: If the land prices have gone up so much in the state, why is KCR not paying such an amount to the farmers when taking their lands? When will the wasteland problems be resolved?
Further, she fired at the forest officers for unnecessarily carrying forward the attacks on the tribals, and questioned KCR’s integrity in being silent on such a sensitive issue.
