TPCC chief Revanth Reddy said Congress is now providing insurance to its members. He said that an agreement has been signed with the New India Insurance Company for this. Speaking at the Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, Revanth said that if the member dies in an accident, he will get compensation of Rs 2 lakh. He also said that if anybody gets wounded, compensation will be given depending on the severity.
Revanth explained that the membership registration program will be from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023. He said that digital membership registration has already started on the occasion of Sonia Gandhi’s birthday on December 9. It is said that 7 lakh memberships have been registered so far. There are 34,765 polling booths to provide better services to the people of the state. The Congress party is implementing one enrollment in each booth. We are also taking steps to ensure that each booth has a membership of 100 members.
Rewanth Reddy said that party members are being given identity cards. “We are conducting the Congress membership registration in a very transparent manner. We have set a target of registering about 30 lakh members,” he said. It is believed that this insurance facility will help in providing financial security to the families of those who lose their life working and being part of the congress party.
