Tensions at the Gandhi Bhawan escalated with the police blocked the Congress leaders who barged the fences arranged in the wake of Tiranga Rally. While the Congress leaders called for the rally on the account of 135th foundation day of Congress party, the Hyderabad police on Saturday made necessary arrangements from the wee hours to hit back the rally. Claiming that the rally was denied permission, the police stopped TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLC leader Bhatti Vikramarka and Shabbir Ali at Gandhi Bhavan. Tensions ran as the leaders decided to hold a sit-in protest against the police’s adamant behaviour with the leaders.

On this note, Uttam Kumar Reddy breathed fire on KCR who is controlling the state with his iron fist. He alleged that the government deliberately denied permission for their rally planned from Gandhi Bhavan to Lower Tank Bund. “Hyderabad Commissioner Anjani Kumar is acting puppet in the hands of KCR. The same Chief Minister who gave permission for RSS rally snubbed our’s only because of his insecurities,” he added. He then expressed confidence that Congress would soon emerge victorious in the upcoming municipality elections.
