“Don’t attribute motives to Raj Bhavan,” lashed out Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan over the remarks made by state Congress leaders on Thursday. Stating that Raj Bhavan is open for all, Tamilisai refuted back the allegations made by Congress leaders who attempted to meet the Governor but failed to get an appointment.
The Governor expressed discontent over the political clash between BJP and Congress over the three farm bills passed by the Central government. “I want to assure that though I am a daughter of Tamil Nadu, I was accepted as a sister of Telangana.”
“Owing to the COVID situations, Raj Bhavan is closed for appointments from the past our months. It is so sad that leaders are attributing motives to Raj Bhavan which is incorrect and unacceptable,” she added.
It can be noted that Congress leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mallu Bhatti Vikramaka tried to get an appointment to meet the Governor to discuss the atrocities in the state while they were denied access. Followed by which, the leaders took to media levelling allegations on the Governor for favouring the TRS government.
These allegations came close on the heels of Governor heaping praises on KCR-led government for the COVID measures taken in the state when compared to Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu, Telangana was doing much better. The Raj Bhavan from Friday launched its e-office program for communicating with the State government and citizens.
