Corona cases have once again increased in Telangana. Newly, 80,138 people across the state underwent Covid tests of which 2447 tested positive. This brings the total number of cases in the state to 7,11,656. Three others died in a single day.
This brings the number of corona deaths to 4,060. Over 2295 new people have fully recovered from this epidemic. There are currently 22197 active Covid cases in the state. Most of the cases are coming to light within the GHMC on a daily basis.
There were 1112 cases in Hyderabad, 235 in Medchal, 183 in Rangareddy, 73 in Sangareddy, 63 in Khammam, 80 in Hanmakonda, 68 in Manchirya and 48 in Bhadradrikottagudem. The High Court has taken up the COVID conditions into the hands in Telangana, directing the government to increase the number of RTPCR tests.
One lakh RTPCR tests are required per day. The court suggested that tougher measures be taken to fight the virus. Urged the administrations to raise awareness among the people to adopt social distance and wear masks. The High Court pointed out that more vigilance was needed to control the spread of Covid.
