India’s COVID-19 tally neared the 88-lakh mark on Saturday with new 44,684 COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours. According to the recent health bulletin released by the Union Health Ministry, India’s total cases rise to 87,73,479 while the global tally crosses 8.7 million-mark.
Amidst the speculation over the second wave in the county, India logged 520 new deaths, taking the death toll to 1,29,188 while the total active cases 4,80,719 after a decrease of 3,828 in last 24 hours. Total discharged cases 81,63,572 with 47,992 new discharges from Friday morning to Saturday.
A total of 12,40,31,230 samples tested for Covid up to 13th November, of these 9,29,491 samples were tested yesterday, stated ICMR.

Meanwhile, cases started to take a drastic dip in Andhra Pradesh which reported 1,593 new infection and 10 fatalities on Friday. The state so far logged 8,51,298 positive cases so far while the death toll stood at 6,847.
However, the pattern of the new case refused to slow down in Telangana which has been reporting not less than 1,000 cases from the past few days. On Saturday the state recorded 1,050 positive cases taking the total tally to 2,56,713. According to the Saturday’s health bulletin, 4 people succumbed to corona while the death toll is at 1,401.
