Raising the total count to 40, the Thai government on Wednesday confirmed that three more citizens were diagnosed with novel coronavirus in Thailand. The outbreak which hit the country in late December has been reportedly taking a toll at the tourism-reliant economy with the increasing infected members with each passing day. Reacting to the increasing spread of the dreadful viral infection, the Thai authorities have stepped up the precautionary steps to contain it and offer advanced treatment for the infected.
According to the reports, three of the recent infected belongs to the same family while one of them has a history of travel to Hokkaido in Japan. In a media meeting, Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated that all the 40 infected patients are being treated with the best possible medication. He then urged the citizen to rush to the nearest hospital if suspected symptoms prevail.
