The pandemic has been taking a toll at many of the countries while the deaths soured to more than 6,500. Italy, Australia and many other economies are going through never before the crisis with India, the country with the second-largest population confirmed 147 cases raising red alert in many of the states. While almost all the states including Telangana imposing the city shut down, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan’s comments over the outbreak triggered controversies.
The comments made by CM Jagan that the novel infection can be treated with paracetamol and curbed with bleaching powder sparked a wave of memes and trolls on social media. Taking a dig at his stated ‘It comes and it goes’ referring to the viral infection, national media as well as published articles.
On this note, ‘The News’, one of the prominent newspapers in Pakistan highlighted the comments made by the Andhra Chief Minister. Claiming the statement as a completely ignorant and irresponsible, the English website lashed out on Jagan for downplaying the outbreak.
