Going by the reports released by almost 90 countries, the dreadful Coronavirus claimed the lives of nearly 4,000 by Tuesday. Meanwhile, India registered a rise in the individuals affected while the number reached to 53. Waging a war against the spread of the novel virus in the country, India has also been playing a crucial role in extending help to China, the epicentre of the outbreak.
The Indian government has sent an IAF aircraft earlier to Wuhan with about 15 tonnes of medical equipment and has brought back 76 Indians and 36 foreign nationals previously. In a recent revelation, 58 Indians struck in Iran, one of the most affected countries were rescued by the Indian Air Force on Tuesday.
IAF’s C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft which departed for Iran on Monday brought back 58 people to the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad. While this is reportedly the first batch, the Indian government announced that efforts are being out to rescue the remaining 2,000 Indians.
