In the wake of dreadful Coronavirus spreading its wings in all major countries while many of them raised the high alert on Sunday. The death toll souring with each passing day, it has not only become a challenge for the government but also the private sector giants. With the probability of the virus wreaking havoc globally, the tech giants like Google, Twitter, Coinbase and Square have taken a decision which has given a surprise to the employees.
While speculations are rife that the companies would announce a long leave to the employees, the tech giants asked the employees across the globe to work from home over concerns about the spread of the novel virus. Google which stood as the first company with Coronavirus diagnosed employee, has announced work from home for all the 8,000 employees.
The company has also issued instructions to the employees to restrain from non-critical business travel and events. The tech giants were also seen cancelling or postponing all major summits and conferences while the death toll touched the 3,000 mark. It is known that Twitter has made the work-from-home policy mandatory for employees in Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea, due to government restrictions.
On this note, according to the reports from Business Insider, the employees of Microsoft openly expressed their dissatisfaction as the company is not employee-friendly over the Corona outbreak.
