Raising the official list of infected in India to 40, a 3-year-old child who recently travelled to Italy has been tested positive for Coronavirus. The child who returned to India along with his parents on March 7th was placed in quarantine while the recent blood reports turned positive. He has been kept in isolation ward at Ernakulam Medical College and the condition was reported to be stable.
According to the sources, the family travelled back in flight number EK 503 which had landed at Cochin International Airport. Meanwhile, the Kerala government confirmed 5 new cases of COVID-19 in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. The reported five cases are from the same family among which three members have travel history to Italy. This takes the total number of cases to 41 in the country.
