While the number of positive cases in the state reached 25 and the results of 40 others suspected patients are awaited, Rajasthan government on Saturday took an exemplary decision which is now speculated to be taken up many other states. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday directed a “complete lockdown” in the state, except for essential services, till March 31.
In an effort to contain the Coronavirus outbreak, Gehlot who called for an emergency meeting with the top officials announced the lockdown which is instructed to take up from March 22-March 31. In the line of which all markets, malls, factories including the government offices and public transport barring essential and medical services will remain shut during the period.

The Chief Minister also announced that the government has set up a core committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home, Rajeev Swarup, to look into issues during the lockdown period. Meanwhile, the number of positive cases in the country touched 300 with fresh cases registered across the country.
