In the wake of government easing the lockdown norms, giving a nod for the liquor sales, the corona rampage continued in the state. Taking the total corona tally to 1,833, Andhra Pradesh on Thursday registered 56 new positive cases across the state.
While the officials heaved a sigh of relief with the decrease in the case from the past few days, the state tally yet again gained momentum. While the officials claimed that the situations in the state are falling under control, tensions continued to prevail high in districts like Kurnool, Krishna and Guntur which registered 316, 206 and 373 active cases so far.
According to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the state registered no casualties taking the total death toll to 38 while 780 patients recovered and were discharged from the COVID-19 hospitals across the state. Vizianagaram district which was green zone a few days ago now has 3 positive cases.
According to the officials, there are 1,015 active cases in Andhra Pradesh undergoing treatment in the COVID-19 hospitals. It was reported that as many as 8,087 samples were tested in the state from the last 24 hours amongst which 58 samples turned positive to the Coronavirus.
