Hyderabad: In a major set back to Alanda media, the Nampally Court on Tuesday rejected the custody petition of TV9 founder Ravi Prakash filed by the police. Upon hearing the arguments, the court has denied the media giant’s custody sought by Banjara Police upon the accusations made by Alanda media over the inappropriate transaction of Rs 18 crores. The High Court has already issued a preliminary bail and has issued explicit orders not to arrest anyone in that case. Prosecutors have alleged that the police had conspired with the FIRs, without even registering new ones in case of any new allegations. Ravi Prakash’s lawyers have already filed a bail petition in the High Court regarding the same case which is yet to be heard.
