CPM general secretary Sitaram Achury has called for the overthrow of the central government which is looting the country. He was speaking in a virtual manner from Delhi at an online public meeting on Saturday during the CPM state convention. He criticized the Central government’s way of handling the COVID situation. He said that there was a big crisis in the country’s financial sector and that is why prices are rising. “Everywhere you look today, the government is exploiting common people”.
There are 112 billionaires in the country. 55% of the wealth of the people is in their hands. Destroying key pillars of the constitution, he said, was calling for the rights of state governments. 12 members of the Rajya Sabha have been suspended and no debate has been held in the Parliament.
He said the BJP was using the CBI and EDI as its political agencies. He criticized BJP for filing cases against unscrupulous opposition leaders. Yechury called on the CPM party to bring back the old glory and take inspiration from the Telangana armed struggle.
Beevi Raghavulu, a member of the Politburo, said that the red flag will keep fighting for farmers and women. He expressed regret that the rulers had hoped to bring golden Telangana after the separation of the state .. but the hopes were dashed. He called out to fight until the achievement of public Telangana rather than the Telangana under dictatorship.
