While numerous heart-breaking images from the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul continued to flood the internet for the past two days. Social media platforms saw chaotic scenes of thousands of people thronging to flee from the country.
Now, satellite images of the Kabul airport have captured by space firm Maxar Technologies gave a clear picture of the grave situations at the airport.
Hundreds of people are seen gathered at different sections of the airport. Security at Kabul airport was overwhelmed by the crowd, resulting in closure of the airport for commercial operations on Monday.
Satellite photographs by Maxar showed huge traffic jams outside the airport, and crowds milling on the runway.
