A Mumbai court that has been hearing the Mumbai cruise drug case sent Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, along with seven others accused in the case on Monday. While the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had sought an extension of its custody of the eight accused till October 11, the court refused to grant it.
Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was produced before the Esplanade court in Mumbai for bail along with seven other accused in a case related to the seizure of drugs onboard a cruise ship. Khan and two others are in the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
As per the rules, the accused who are in custody are kept in a prison. But, Aryan Khan, after leaving the court, was taken to the NCB office for the night which drew speculations if NCB is helping Aryan Khan. However, it was learned that Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshine, requested that his client be allowed to spend another night at the NCB office as per the new COVID rules and protocol for jail inmates.
Sources also have it that Aryan Khan was given permission by the magistrate to meet his family members.
