Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seizing 13 grams of high-quality cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, and 22 pills of MDMA and Rs 1,33,000 at International Cruise Terminal Green Gate, Mumbai set ripples in Bollywood and political circles. It can be noted that NCB has arrested a supplier from Juhu and found a commercial quantity of drugs from him.
Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan who was arrested on the cruise was remanded in 14-day judicial custody by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar along with seven others. As per the reports, Aryan kept in barrack number 1, which is a special quarantine barrack which is on the first floor.
While the jail authorities made it clear that no special treatment’ will be given to Aryan and will be treated like ‘every other under trial prisoner’, it was learned that Aryan was not given a uniform. Like other inmates, Aryan Khan would be made to wake up by 6 am by jail officials and is allowed to roam in the jail premises.
If Aryan Khan and others want extra food from the canteen, they will have to pay extra. The money can come through money order. During the court hearings as well, the accused who are in custody are kept in a prison as per the rules.
But, Aryan Khan, after leaving the court, was taken to the NCB office for the night which drew speculations if NCB is helping Aryan Khan. However, it was learned that Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshine, requested that his client be allowed to spend another night at the NCB office as per the new COVID rules and protocol for jail inmates.
