Things are getting harder for Telangana State government with a serious of strikes from the High Court in recent times. Questioning why the government is struggling to put the facts together, Telangana High Court on Monday directed six top officials, including the Chief Secretary, to appear before it on July 28.
Upon which, all eyes are on Principal Secretaries of Medical and Health and Municipal Administration, Public Health Director, Director of Medical Education and GHMC Commissioner who will appear before the court today.
A bench of Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy stated that they have observed deliberate negligence which can be considered as amounted to criminal negligence.
Stating it as a fourth and last chance, the High Court ordered the state government to submit a detailed report regarding the discrepancies in COVID numbers & health bulletins, crunch in protective gear provided to medical staff and the tests being conducted per day.
While the state government already changed the health bulletin format including the list of COVID hospitals and containment zones, political circles are rife with speculations that the officials would soon mend their ways with High Court turning furious over the issues.
