Cyber fraudsters are once again on the prowl. Targeting the E-commerce and online trading sites, cyber crimes are observed to increase exponentially. In a recent incident, one was cheated in the name of colour xerox while another two in the name of online trading and marketing. In all three cases, the fraudsters stole more than Rs 7 lakh.
A man named Salman from Hyderabad searched for a colour xerox machine in India Mart. Cyber fraudsters who flung into action have come into contact with them and offered the machine at Rs 1.75 lakh, the lowest price in the market.
In yet another case, a person was deceived in the name of online trading. In the name of high profits, the fraudsters stole over Rs 1.30 lakh. Also, Rs 4.15 lakh was laundered in the name of online marketing from a man named Mohammad Asif. All the three incidences came into limelight as the victims approached Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police. Police registered the cases and are investigating based on the clues.
