Setting off danger bells, India on Saturday crosses the four million cases-mark with Indian states and union territories logging record 86,432 new infections in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest reports from the union health ministry, the total caseload of the country is now at 40,23,179. On the other hand, India recorded 1,089 fresh deaths while the toll reached 69,561.
It can be noted that India has been reporting more than 80,000 cases per day for the last three days now. Official data confirms that of the total cases registered so far, 31,07,223 people have cured/recovered/migrated from Corona while over 8,46,395 patient getting treated.
The total number of samples tested up to September 4 is 4,77,38,491 including 10,59,346 samples tested on September 5th, stated Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
Meanwhile, Telangana on Saturday reported 2,511 fresh cases in the last 24 hours taking the caseload in the state to 1,38,395. With 11 new deaths, the death toll now stands at 877. While Andhra Pradesh’s caseload has crossed 4.6 lakh with over 10,000 cases being reported daily, Telangana’s tally nears 1.5 lakh.
