For some time, YSRTP president YS Sharmila has been quite critical of the politics in Telangana state. She alleged that farmers in Telangana have been disrespected for a long time. She participated in the Raitu Gosa Deeksha organized by Bhadradri in Bojjaigudem, Illandu Mandal, Kottagudem District. On this occasion, Sharmila sharply criticized the CM KCR. She said that during the tenure of her father YSR, agriculture was celebrated as a festival in the state.
“In the last 8 years since the formation of the state, 8,000 farmers have committed suicide. The state government is to blame for that,” Sharmila said. She said that farmers are innocent of everything, and the lives of citizens of the state are worthless if a farmer is struggling to meet his ends. “It is ridiculous for KCR to say that farmers became millionaires when the state was formed. If they are billionaires, why are they committing suicide?” she asked.
“Dalit CM, 3 Acres land, the loan waiver, Dalit Bandhu scheme, what happened to all those guarantees? How many times does KCR cheat Dalits by guaranteeing justice when he is sure of not delivering any of his promises?” Sharmila attacked KCR with huge criticism. ‘Do you see Dalits as human beings in the state?’ Asked Sharmila. In fact, everyone starting from a school kid to the old man getting his pension is aware of the fact that KCR has a habit of making too unrealistic promises and absolutely ignoring to fulfill them.
She accused KCR of consistently cheating SCs and STs with his deceptive words. She made some controversial remarks against KCR, adding that the Chief Minister who could not save the lives of the farmers, should hang himself. Thousands of farmers in Telangana didn’t cultivate paddy listening to KCR’s advice, doing that more than half of their agricultural land was left unused. Sharmila demanded compensation at the rate of Rs 25,000 per acre for each farmer who believed in KCR’s words and left their lands without even harvesting.
