In what can be called news of relief, India’s COVID curve depicting a steady trajectory of declining actual caseload for almost three weeks. According to the latest reports from the union health ministry, in India for the first time after a month, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in India dipped below the 900,000-mark with 893,000 active cases reported.
As per the health bulletin, India reported 73,272 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours as the total number of infections rose to 69,79,424 by Saturday. The total tally includes 8,83,185 active cases while 59,88,823 patients were cured/discharged/migrated. On the other hand, 926 deaths were logged from Friday morning taking the total death toll to 1,07,416.

Andhra Pradesh reported 5,145 Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the total caseload to 7,44,864. The toll increased to 6,159 as 31 more people succumbed to the deadly novel viral infection. All districts have now achieved at least a 90% recovery rate.
Meanwhile, the total number of cases Telangana mounts to 2,10,346 of which 26,104 are active. 1,83,025 discharged & 50,469 samples tested on Friday. The state in the last 24 hours logged 9 deaths and 1,811 new cases.
