While the farmers protesting against agriculture reforms reached to the iconic Red Fort located at the heart of Delhi, the tractor rally called coinciding with the Republic Day noted a death. According to the reports, one farmer died after a tractor overturned at Delhi’s DDU Marg.

Protesters, on the other hand, have alleged that police fired at his tractor. The incident happened on the DDU Marg near ITO in Central Delhi. Farmers have wrapped the body in a national flag. Several police officers have been injured and the police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas shelling to contain the situation.

The city on Tuesday witnessed chaotic scenes of protestors chasing police and ramming their tractors into public buses. Police to scatter the protestors fired tear gas shells and lathicharged farmers when they clashed with the force in parts of the city while local media reported injuries on both sides.
Protesting farmers who arrived at the Red Fort on Tuesday afternoon were seen placing a flag on the top of a dome.
