This is a case where it is proven again that Court DOES put the welfare of citizens above everything else, even the ruling government!!
“How can you lie that there are no dengue cases in the state?
Are you blind even to the media that has been reporting so many cases?
How can you lead the Hon’ble High Court into falsehood?
If a capital city like Hyderabad is infected with viral fevers what would be the situation in districts and villages?”
These are all the questions posed by the High Court justice of the state of Telangana to its government.
It is evident that the government authorities and government have been reporting false statements on the condition and status of the dengue fevers prevalent in the state.
The High Court of Telangana questioned if the government reports being submitted by the Health Department stating that there aren’t any dengue and viral cases till 7th September, 2019, in the state are false.
While there are high numbers reported in the newspapers and other media the state machinery continued that it isn’t that big issue. The Court expressed its displeasure over the methodology being adopted by the department and state government in tackling the impending cases of the viral fevers in the city.
The High Court stated that there were around 1120 cases reported just in the past one week and it is very clear that the cases reported this year did increase from that of the last year. The court questioned the authorities on this and felt that there are no adequate facilities to cater to the need of the patients suffering from viral fevers in the state.
In light of the situation, netizens found it ridiculous that KTR had tweeted asking the people of the state to keep their surroundings devoid of stagnant water and to protect themselves from mosquito bites!! GHMC Mayor Bontu Ram Mohan giving television interviews while fumigating drew much flak.
