Although a year has passed since the Dharani portal was started. None of the problems were solved, although there is a growing criticism against the system. Farmers are roaming around the offices. The program is held every Monday in the Collectorate offices of all the districts in the state in public. Every day about 90 percent of the farmers submit their complaints to the authorities to get them resolved, none of those problems are solved so far.
Except for arranging a series of meetings to resolve the issues, the authorities are also unable to resolve the identified issues. The Cabinet sub-committee decided to set up Dharani help desks in all collectorates in the state. The committee said that by creating awareness among the people through desks, they are giving the opportunity to upload applications. Awareness or problems on existing modules are not resolved. Officers were directed to make available the necessary modules as soon as possible to correct errors in the registration of land records. But .. the authorities are not solving the problems identified by the committee. Although the Cabinet sub-committee directed to make the modules available .. so far the modules have not been made available. Many farmers are suffering from this.
Most of the farmers in the villages have to roam around the collector’s offices as the collectors, not the tahsildars, are given the opportunity to make amendments on land issues. The state government, on the other hand, has set up a Dharani portal and announced that 94 percent of the farmers’ problems have been solved. But .. in fact, thousands of farmers are roaming around the courts .. around the tehsildar and collector’s offices .. every day to solve the revenue problems. In addition to setting up a tribunal for the district, experts say that changing the revenue laws of the state from time to time will help in solving farmers’ problems.
In multiple instances, the options are changing on the portal all the time, this is causing further confusion to the farmers. Meanwhile, Tahsildars and RTOs are also entrusted with the tasks to be done, there is a discussion going on that the lower-level employees are not able to solve any problem with the work pressure burden. Officials at the collector’s office said most of the files are pending off the record.
