In his successful career with more than 100 films, director Raghavendra Rao donned several hats including choreographer and costume designer. However, the 78-year-old star director who recently announced his directorial comeback with ‘Pelli SandhaD’ grabbed media attention revealing that he would soon make his acting debut.
Although he occasionally appeared in guest roles, the director did not do the full-length roles. But for the first time, the director is trying to come out of his comfort zone to play a character in a film. Finally, Dharshakendra is all set to play the main lead in a film which will be directed by Tanikella Bharani.
According to the latest buzz, Tanikella Bharani has roped in three leading actresses opposite Raghavendra Rao. Rumour mongers have it that Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan and Shriya Saran were approached for crucial roles in the untitled film.
Touted to be a women-centric film written by Janardhana Maharshi, the film will hit the sets early next year.
