Teja has been one of the directors in Tollywood who opened up a new zoner with his youthful films with creative subjects. Marking his blockbuster debut, Teja spelled his magic with ‘Chitram’ which set new records in Tollywood industry back in 2000.
The young director who made his comeback with ‘Nene Raju Nene Manthri’ teaming up with Rana Daggubati, received a decent hit in 2017. However, Teja ’s next ‘Sita’ was a box-office disaster making it again an uphill task for the director to hit back to the track.
Shutting down the rumours over his downslide, the director on Monday announced that he would come up with the sequel for his super hit film ‘Chitram’. While Uday Kiran and Reema Sen shared the screen in the film, Teja is reportedly in the hunt for fresh faces for the sequence.
Touted to be shot with working title ‘Chitram 1.1’, Teja stated that the project would hit the floor this year anytime soon. On work front, Teja is gearing up for two movies including Gopichand’s ‘Alimelumanga Venkataramana’ and Rana’s ‘Rakshasa Rajyamlo Ravanasurudu’.
