The Enforcement Directorate authorities who are interrogating the Tollywood celebrities alleged to have connections with drug paddlers questioned actress Mumaith Khan on Wednesday.
The actress who rose to fame with a special song in Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Pokiri’ appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Hyderabad. Mumaith sporting a white dress holding a folder walked upstairs to the office as media and police mobbed around her.
While actor Rana Daggubati, director Puri Jagannath, actress-turned-producer Charmee, actor Nandu, and actress Rakul Preet Singh were already interrogated, Kelvin, the alleged peddler is under police custody now. All the celebrities who were inquired so far, reportedly claimed that they neither have any links with drug traffickers nor did they consume it.
On July 2, 2017, the Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department had busted a drug racket by arresting a three-member gang, including musician-turned-kingpin Calvin Mascrenhas, for allegedly peddling narcotic drugs such as LSD and MDMA.
